Bandana sizing
To measure your furry friend please make sure you allow an extra 1” inch minimum (or 2 fingers width) between their collar and neck for a comfortable fit.
If your pooch is too wriggly to use a soft measuring tape then check their collar length with a ruler and add the extra 1” inch (approx. 2cm).
We want to keep your fur buddy safe like you do, so our dog bandanas don’t have any plastic parts that can be chewed off or become a choke hazard.
Doggy Smiles bandanas simply ‘tie up’ around the neck with a secure knot. You can then adjust the bandana to create the perfect fit for your pooch. Our handmade dog bandanas can be worn over the collar – or on their own if you prefer!
Check out the guide below with bandana sizes and suitable breeds. Your pooch is unique! So please measure your furry friend carefully to select the best size. If your doggy is particularly fluffy or between sizes we’d suggest the next size up for comfort.

“3 in 1” Styling Guide
Your fun dog bandana is really versatile and gives your pooch 3 ‘super cool’ looks.
Wear the bandana facing front – or move it round with the pattern showing down their back then knot under the chin (like a Superman cape!).
Or how about folding the bandana into sections to create a strip & tie with a knot? A colourful collar style!
Bow tie sizing
You can choose from 2 sizes for your furry friend – Small and Large.
Approximate dimensions:
Small: width 4 ½ “ x 2 ¼ inches height (11 x 6 cm)
Large: width 6 ½ “ x 2 ¾ inches height (16 x 7 cm)
Bow ties are attached to your doggy’s collar with 2 adjustable Velcro bands on the reverse side. Our Double Velcro fitting means the bow tie stays straight and secure on their collar. If there’s too much Velcro you can cut it to the best length.
All Velcro bands are hand sewn onto our Doggy Smiles bow ties. We don’t use any glue so your pooch isn’t going to munch on any harmful ‘chemical nasties’ from the adhesive.
